MESSAGE FROM P&R DIRECTOR
Summer is in full swing and we are out and about in the parks! Whether it is for our Adventure Day camp at Ballantine Park or at the weeknight Concert Series at Settlers Park, the outdoors are indeed calling. We have a lot of parks in Southbury - take a look at the list here. (Since these are not just town-owned parks, please make sure to reach out to a correct organization if you have questions.) Try your hand on the Hidden Pond Disc Golf course, shoot some hoops at Community Park, or splash at the town pool in Ballantine Park. We will see you outside!

ART IN THE PARK

Thank you for joining us for a beautiful day of crafts, play, and community! Attendees decorated rocks, made flags, and painted canvases as the weather sent a squall our way before clearing up for a beautiful park day. Thank you to all our volunteer groups, especially our partners the Southbury Arts & Culture Alliance (SACA) and Middlebury and Southbury Equity and Inclusion Council (MSEIC). More photos on web album or on Facebook.
MEMORIAL DAY PARADE AND PICNIC

Another beautiful parade and ceremony in town with a fun family picnic in the park! Thank you to our volunteers in the parade committee, your dedication is the foundation of this amazing event. More photos on web album or on Facebook.
POOL GRAND OPENING!

Thank you for joining us at our town pool’s grand opening! We had almost 300 patrons at the pool on grand opening day and almost 1500 patrons in the first week of operation. When you count in our summer Sharks Swim Team and swim lessons, that’s nearly 2000 swimmers in the first month of summer! We couldn’t be more pleased that so many residents made use of the free entry offer. The free admittance for Southbury residents ends on July 4th. Make sure you have your pool pass starting July 5th or you can show your paid invoice to gain entry. Get your pool pass here. More photos from the grand opening are on web album.
