4/8/2025 - New Classes and Programs for Youth and Adults

Cross Country Clinics by CT Sports Network

CT Sports Network is offering Cross Country training to runners aged 5-15 years old and adults this spring. The younger classes will focus on age appropriate running games and basic running techniques, with the other clinics providing a strong concentration on running form and pacing while building endurance through running drills, games and core exercises.

Program is held at Settlers Park 280 Crook Horn Rd, Southbury.

Traumatic Grief Coping Strategies

Join bereaved parent and certified Compassionate Bereavement Care Counselor, Dianne Slater, as she presents coping strategies to help process grief felt by parents who have lost children. In this 6 week course, Dianne facilitates community building and explores how parents can survive and thrive despite experiencing traumatic grief.

Program is held at the Southbury Parks and Recreation Building, 561 Main Street South.

FREE: Wellness Tips for Life's Ups & Downs by Ann's Place

Learn about Ann's Place and their free support services helping families facing cancer. Ann's Place uses a variety of techniques to help their clients reduce anxiety and stress. This session will share some of those techniques which can help you build resilience so you can better handle when life turns you upside down.

All cancer survivors and their loved ones are invited to this free presentation. Come out to be in a supportive environment and meet others you can relate to. You are not alone in this battle!

Program is held at the Southbury Parks and Recreation Building, 561 Main Street South.

Cheerleading Rochambeau Rebels

The Rochambeau Rebels are dedicated to providing an affordable competitive cheerleading program to area youth. This program provides a balanced and sustainable approach to youth cheerleading recognizing the needs of the athletes and their families. They are committed to excellence, creativity, and integrity that goes beyond the cheer mat.

The Rebels will not do regular sideline cheering for any sport. Competitive cheer skill building will be the only focus.

Program is held at the Southbury Parks and Recreation Building, 561 Main Street South.

  • Half Year Competition Cheerleading | Ages K-8 | 60 classes on Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8/12-3/26 plus competitions TBA | 5:30pm-7:00pm or 7:00pm-8:30pm | $300 residents, $390 non-residents | Register by 8/12 | Details and Registration
