Southbury Parks and Recreation would like to share these announcements from the local Youth Sports organizations. Please note that these program are not run by the Southbury Parks and Recreation Department. All questions and comments should be sent to the organizations.


Pomperaug Soccer Club

Pomperaug Soccer Club spring registration is still open for our In-House (U4-U8) age groups! You can access the full details, registration deadlines, and programs offered on the website by going to www.pomperaugsoccerclub.com.

Pomperaug Soccer Club is an independent all-volunteer organization dedicated to promoting soccer for children of all ages in Middlebury and Southbury. Purpose of the club:

  • To provide an opportunity for the youth of Middlebury and Southbury to play soccer. Everyone who wishes to play may do so, and it is the goal of the program to provide each player with the opportunity to play at his or her competitive level.
  • To expand the education of players, referees, and coaches and maximize the enjoyment of the game for all.
  • To teach and promote good sportsmanship at all times.

Pomperaug Youth Baseball

2023 Spring registration for in-house spring baseball is now open for ages 5 to 15. The registration ends on March 5, 2023. You can access the registration details and programs offered on the website by going to www.pomperaugyouthbaseball.com.

Pomperaug Youth Baseball offers a youth baseball experience that teaches the fundamentals of baseball in a fun and positive environment. Through the Cal Ripken Division and the Babe Ruth Division, Pomperaug Youth Baseball offers the opportunity for boys and girls aged 5-15 to play baseball. The goals for each division include:

  • Learn the rules and fundamentals of baseball
  • Gain a sense of achievement through improving baseball skills
  • Value good sportsmanship by demonstrating respect for coaches, teammates, & opponents
  • Be ready for the next level of baseball
  • Have a desire to play again!

Pomperaug Youth Softball is a non-profit organization affiliated with Babe Ruth Softball, Fairfield County Fastpitch Softball League (Travel). The mission of Pomperaug Youth Softball is to provide the girls of Southbury and Middlebury the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of fastpitch softball in a fun environment. It is our goal to make sure every player has a quality experience both on and off the field. Our organization focuses on developing the program to continually improve the player’s experience by investing in training, facilities, and opportunities for every girl that has the desire to play.
