Food! Fun!! Fireworks!!! Saturday, September 26, 2026 (rain date Sunday, September 27). Please bring your lawn chairs and blankets and get set for a terrific evening of fun and celebration for all ages. Free admission.

Live on Stage

Master of Ceremonies - Jim Tornatore, Southbury Parks and Recreation Commissioner, and artistic director of the Newbury Musical Theater Company based in Southbury

• 4:00pm: DJ music by Powerstation Events
• 5:00pm: Anishka Mittal - Eight-year old Anishka will take the audience on a musical journey through dreams and courage.
• 5:15pm: Dan Sawyer - a Southbury singer/songwriter, voted best Connecticut solo musician in 2025. 50 years playing professionally from CT to CA.
• 5:40pm: Sean O’Reilly - a singer songwriter, as well as a self taught harpist, and pianist from Connecticut.
• 6:10pm: Michael Carrington - singer/guitarist/troubadour and Southbury resident.
• 6:35pm: Carmen Olivia and the Underground - singer/songwriter/artist featured on American Idol Season 22
• 7:05pm: Good Medicine Rx - a Southbury acoustic duo, Michel Driscoll and Jeff Duggan specializing in songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s
• 7:35pm: Tor Hyams & Lisa St. Lou - recording artists, songwriters, producers, and performers whose work spans soul, pop, rock, jazz, and musical theater.
• 8:10pm: National Anthem

Parking

Please see the map for parking information.

• Extensive free parking is on the Southbury Training School (STS) Great Front Lawn. Parking entrance is off Nutmeg Avenue, accessed via the main STS entrance.
• Handicapped parking (by permit only) will also be on the STS Great Lawn in a designated area convenient to the field.
  
• Drop-off and pick-up area is behind the Gatehouse cottage at the main STS entrance.
• For safety, no pedestrian walking on Rte. 172 in the event area due to traffic congestion.

No alcohol and no pets are permitted at the event. Caution should be exercised with service animals due to the large crowds and fireworks noises. Due to congested event traffic and safety concerns, there will be no pedestrian walking, no vehicle parking and no parent “drop off/pick up” along Route 172.

Southbury Senior Services offers transportation for Southbury residents age 60+ and those with disabilities. If you need a ride to the Southbury Celebration, please call 203-262-0652 to reserve the ride. Reservations must be made no later than 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 24.
