
Southbury Parks & Recreation is offering a free sensory-friendly swim program designed to provide individuals of all abilities and their families a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive aquatic experience. During this dedicated swim time, the pool will provide a quieter, more relaxed environment with reduced noise and distractions, allowing participants to enjoy the water at their own pace. Whether you want to swim, exercise, socialize, or simply cool off, everyone is welcome.
The Southbury Town Pool is equipped with accessibility features to help all participants enjoy the facility, including an ADA-compliant pool lift for safe entry and exit, as well as a zero-depth entry area with handrails for easy, comfortable access.
This program is free for all individuals of all abilities, and family members, caregivers, and support staff are encouraged to attend.
Although the program is free, advance registration is required to ensure adequate lifeguard staffing for the program.
The program is held at Southbury Town Pool, Ballantine Park, 611 Old Field Road, Southbury.
