10/23/2025 - Grow Together Play Club

At the Grow Together Play Club, unstructured time proves to be a powerful engine for development. When kids play freely, they're building essential life skills. Mixed-age environments naturally encourage social growth, teaching kids cooperation, empathy, and leadership as older children mentor younger ones. Self-directed activities sharpen problem-solving and critical thinking while boosting creativity and imagination. Crucially, it develops the independence to make decisions and learn emotional regulation in a low-stress setting. Ultimately, "just playing" is how your children learn to be resilient, confident, and successful friends.

Join your peers for fun, laughter, and friendly competition at Games Galore! Each participant is asked to bring at least one game (board game, card game, etc.) to share with the group. Children should be familiar enough with their game to teach others how to play.

For the Craft-a-Palooza, participants are encouraged to bring a few supplies to share — such as friendship bracelet supplies, glue sticks, markers, or paper (please, no glitter)! Come ready to craft, collaborate, and have a blast making something uniquely yours!

The program will be held at the Southbury Parks & Recreation building, 561 Main Street South, Southbury.
