5/15/2023 - 350th Anniversary-Southbury’s Got Talent on May 20, 2023

On May 20th the Town of Southbury and Southbury’s Newbury Musical Theatre Company will present a community talent show featuring a wide variety of talented individuals from the area as part of Southbury’s 350th Anniversary Celebration. Event proceeds will benefit the Southbury Food Bank, Southbury Chapter of Safe Haven and Southbury’s Newbury Musical Theatre Company.

Talent was gathered through live and video auditions from many of the towns that comprised “Ancient Woodbury” 350 years ago – Southbury, Woodbury, Roxbury, Bethlehem, Washington, Middlebury, and Oxford. Acts will range from solo and duet singers, dancers, poets, original song writers, and comedians.

The show begins at 7:00pm at the Jewish Federation of Western Connecticut, who have kindly donated the space, located at 444 Main Street North, Southbury, CT. Admission for this event is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and children; cash or check only, at the door. Doors will open at 6:30pm.

The event is co-organized by the Newbury Musical Theatre Company, a Southbury-based 501c3 nonprofit, dedicated to promoting the arts in Southbury and the surrounding communities. A portion of the proceeds raised at this event will go to support their upcoming summer productions of ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ July 28-30th and Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ July 21 and 22nd.
