In honor of the Town of Southbury’s 350th Anniversary, the Arts & Culture Subcommittee of the Economic Development Commission has organized a cookbook project. They are calling on residents to contribute family recipes that will be assembled into a Southbury Community Cookbook and presented at the end of the year. Participants are encouraged to include a brief story about the recipe. Limit is two recipes per household, and recipes must be different categories; for example – one dessert, one entrée. Categories include: appetizers, bread and rolls, soups and salads, vegetables, main dishes, desserts, beverages, and allergy-friendly.
This project is open to all Southbury residents. Deadline for submission is September 1, 2023. For more information, rules and the submission form, please visit www.southbury-ct.org/350-cookbook. If you have any questions, email the Arts & Culture Subcommittee at email@example.com.
The Town of Southbury is holding events and activities all year long to celebrate 350 years of community, culture and history (1673-2023), aimed at highlighting the past and progress of the one and only Southbury.
