Voter Registration Deadlines
August 4: Deadline to Register to vote/join party BY MAIL and ONLINE
The last date for new voters, and for unaffiliated voters, to enroll in a party for voting in its primary. For new voters, mail-in applications must be postmarked, or received by Registrar of Voters or voter registration agency, by this date. For unaffiliated voters, the mail-in application must be received (not merely postmarked) by the Registrar of Voters by this deadline. (

August 8, Noon: Register to vote/join party IN PERSON
The last date for new voters and unaffiliated voters enrolling in a party in person at Town Hall, for voting in the Primary.
Election Day Voter Registration is not available for Primaries.

Any elector who is permanently physically disabled can receive an absentee ballot for referendum without reapplying.

Southbury Registrar of Voters Office
is open Monday-Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am - 1:00pm.
NOTE
: Recent redistricting in the State of Connecticut has caused a change of voting locations and legislative districts for SOME addresses in Southbury. Go to
southbury-ct.org/findpollingsite
to see if your address was affected. (All of Heritage Village remains unchanged.)
Voters must provide identification to vote at the polling place
. Acceptable forms of identification include: a driver’s license or other photo ID; U.S. Passport; a pre-printed form of ID, like a tax bill or utility bill, pay stub or bank statement; Social Security card or other government document that shows your name and address; a document that shows your name and signature (i.e. a credit card).
