12/24/2021 - Sustainability on Display and Talk at the Library on January 11, 2022

Sustainable Southbury, the grassroots group focused on the sustainability efforts of the Town of Southbury and the pursuit of the town’s accreditation as a Sustainable CT town, will soon display some of their efforts, beginning in January in the Southbury Library’s Fireplace Room. In addition to the display, the group will be giving a talk on Tuesday, January 11th at 1:00pm in the Library’s Kingsley Room. The topic of the talk will be on meal planning, shopping and understanding food dates, including tips to extend the shelf life of one’s food purchased, and proper storage techniques.

The talk will be the first in a series of ‘road shows’ offered around the community at different times and locations, in order to bring this practical topic of sustainability to everyone. Additional topics will be added in the future. If you would like to have the sustainability road show visit your group send an e-mail to: SustainableSouthbury@gmail.com.
