7/27/2021 - Southbury Parks and Recreation to Host Family Movie Night on Monday, August 9, 2021

The Southbury Parks and Recreation Department will host a Family Movie Night on Monday August 9th, at the Town Hall Green located at 501 Main Street South. Families are encouraged to bring their blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets to enjoy a night of summer fun.

Entertainment will begin around 6:30 PM with the comedic musical stylings of Tom “T-Bone” Stankus, followed by the movie “Trolls World Tour” at around 8:00 PM. The event is free to attend.

T-Bone is a career musician known as “America’s Musical Pied Piper” and has a knack for connecting with children and adults alike.

The movie “Trolls World Tour” features the voices of Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake. When the Queen of the Hard Rock Trolls threatens the other Troll kingdoms, Queen Poppy and her friends must work together to save all the Trolls.

Popcorn and water will be available for purchase throughout the night.

Parking will be located in the lower lot of the Town Hall, at the offices of Southbury Parks and Recreation, and at Pomperaug Elementary School. The upper parking lot of the Town Hall will be closed to accommodate the movie screen.

The event will be cancelled in the event of rain.
