6/4/2021 - Southbury Town Pool to Open on June 12, 2021

The Southbury Town Pool at Ballantine Park will open June 12th! The facility will once again be the perfect spot for warm weather, relaxation and enjoyment and special summer activities will resume. Food and drink are allowed in the pool area, but No Glass is permitted. In addition to the main pool, the kiddie pool will be open for younger swimmers. The bath house provides women’s and men’s restrooms and changing rooms.

The staff hopes to see all of its regulars, as well as lots of new friends looking for a fun and relaxing place to spend their summer days. For those looking for youth activities, programming at the pool will make for a full day.

Sharks Swim Team returns for 6 to 16 year old independent swimmers looking for the fun and camaraderie of a team in a relaxed setting. Swim lessons are being offered for children of all ages, from infants to youngsters who need a little more confidence to swim unassisted, as well as for children who want to hone their swim skills and build some endurance in the water.

The much anticipated Middle School Pool Party will once again take place over the summer. All children entering 6th, 7th and 8th grade are invited to take part in an evening of games, music and fun at the pool. The always popular Family Nights at the Pool will also return with fun for the whole family. Be on the lookout for other special events at Southbury Town Pool as the summer gets going.

Seasonal pool passes are available for Families, Individuals and Seniors and may be purchased online or at the Southbury Parks & Recreation Office at 561 Main Street South in Southbury. Daily pool passes may be purchased at the pool, by check or credit card only.
