There is a marked increase in the number utility crews for power restoration in town. Eversource is still stating that Southbury will be restored to within 1% by 12 noon tomorrow.
The Town is opening a cooling station to be located at the Senior Center starting at 12 noon today, Monday, until 4pm. The Center will also be open as a cooling station tomorrow, Tuesday, from 8:30am to 4pm.
The Southbury Public Library will be increasing its patron limits to 35 starting Wednesday, August 12. All other restrictions/rules remain in place.
Potable water stations at the Town Hall and Senior Center and a non-potable water station at the Firehouse on Main Street South continue to remain open 24/7 for resident access. There are also charging stations at Town Hall, the Senior Center/P&R and the Public Library.
