Thursday, October 15, 2026 from 7-8:30pm in the Kingsley Room, join us for a musical performance by Willie Nininger, Jim Nininger and Jan Scruggs.
Join us as Willie Nininger, Jim Nininger and Jan Scruggs perform at Southbury Public Library. Specializing in three-part harmony, the group will entertain all ages with popular, classic tunes including rock 'n roll, country and folk music.
Willie Nininger of Southbury is an entertaining and versatile Singer-Songwriter-Guitarist, well known for his extensive repertoire, spontaneous sense of humor and flat-picking guitar technique.
Jim Nininger, a psychiatrist from Yorktown, New York, and Willie's brother, has been performing with Willie and his family since the 70s. He plays the guitar and is very adept at finding the third part in the trio's harmonies.
Jan Scruggs, Woodbury, a lover of harmony, has a keen knack for impersonation, replicating voices in songs from Skeeter Davis – “End of the World”, to a comedic rendering of the “All In the Family” theme song as Jean Stapleton.
Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this program is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. Registration is required. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Library. Please visit the link below for more information and to register.
