10/6/2023 - Lu Burke Literary Presents: Tracey O'Shaughnessy on October 25, 2023

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 3:30-4:30pm in the Kingsley Room, join us for a talk by nationally award winning columnist Tracey O'Shaughnessy, who serves as associate features editor at the Republican- American.

Join us for the latest installment of our Lu Burke Lecture Series with Nationally award winning columnist Tracey O'Shaughnessy.

O'Shaughnessy, who has won a number of awards for her columns, art criticism and feature stories, will discuss the perils and promises of Artificial Intelligence.

A native of Lexington, Mass., and graduate of American and Wesleyan Universities, O'Shaughnessy recently began her 30th year at the local, family-owned newspaper. In that time, she has won two "Publick Occurences" award from the New England Newspaper Association for her work documenting the integration of refugees from Myanmar into Waterbury and reporting for a year on the journey of a mute, paralyzed Naugatuck man involved in brain-computer-interface research. She has published two collections of her columns, "Every Little Thing" and "Put the Kettle On," and has embarked on a third, tentatively called "Everybody's Got Something."
