On Friday, June 16, 2023 from 2-3:30pm in person in the Kingsley Room, join us for an energetic program about the history of “Rock ‘n Roll” with Brian Gillie.
Join us for an afternoon of interactive retro-groove of singing, dancing, history, stand-up piano playing, original sound bites, radio commercials, impersonations and attitude. Explore the story of rock’s first fifteen years and its evolution through gospel, rhythm & blues and country and western. Meet the singers and rock groups from doo-wop, Motown, girl groups, surfin’, soul music, novelty songs and more; Little Richard to Coasters, Chuck Berry to Beatles, Elvis to Four Seasons.
Long-time music teacher, singer, dance choreographer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Brian Gillie has been offering music, song and dance programs and concerts for ages 2 through 92 since 1983.
