8/18/2022 - 100 Books Before Graduation

The Southbury Public Library invites interested teens in Grades 9-12 to participate in our new 100 Books Before High School Graduation Challenge beginning on September 1, 2022.

Read 100 books before High School Graduation! Keep track in the library’s digital reading app BeanStack and earn badges and special prizes! 100 books may seem like a lot (and it is), but it works out to about 1 book every 2 weeks, and that’s not including whatever books you read for school. Because this is the first year of the program, if you are a sophomore, junior, or senior, you may count books you have read earlier in high school towards your total.

Beginning September 1, 2022 and any time after, interested 9-12th graders can register on the Southbury Library’s BeanStack App or webpage at southburylibrary.beanstack.com (readers who participated in 2022 Online Summer Reading should use the same account they used before).

Every 10 books you read, pick out something from the prize box (pins, stickers, animal sticky notes, and more). Make it to half way and get a $5 Dunkin' Gift Card. Read 100 books and get a special library throw blanket!

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library, free, and open to residents of any town in Grades 9-12. There is no specific end date; the challenge ends for each reader on their high school graduation date.
