8/1/2022 - “Chopped!” Style Cooking Competition for Teens on September 14, 2022

The Southbury Public Library invites interested teens in Grades 6-12 to join us for a “Chopped!” Style Cooking Competition with Food Explorers on Wednesday, September 14 from 4–5pm in the Kingsley Room of the Southbury Public Library.

Join Food Explorers to test your creativity like you’re on an episode of “Chopped”! You’ll get into teams and create a delicious recipe together, choosing from a limited pantry that’s provided, and you’ll taste test each team’s creations to see whose is the tastiest! All food is nut free but may contain dairy and/or eggs. Space is limited and registration is required. Learn more and register on the library’s website at www.southburylibrary.org/events.

About Food Explorers: Founded by Registered Dietician Katie Shepherd, Food Explorers empowers children and teens to learn about food, nutrition, and healthy eating through hands-on activities, games, and child and teen friendly cooking lessons.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library, free, and open to residents of any town in Grades 6-12.
