7/23/2021 - The Beatles - 50 Years Later on August 17, 2021

On Tuesday, August 17th, 2021 from 2-3:30pm on Zoom or watch it from our Kingsley Room, join us for a fun musical lecture about one of the best known bands of all time: The Beatles.

A respected musicologist once referred to The Beatles as “One of the most transforming entities of 20th century music” and claimed that they changed the course of popular music forever. Join us as we explore the phenomenon that was The Beatles - their growth, originality, musical innovations and lyric depth.

Barry Wiesenfeld is an internationally recognized award-winning musician, a published author, and is on the music faculty of SUNY and Ramapo College. He has accompanied Grammy- and RMI-winning artists, performed on three continents and has played on numerous recordings, radio and TV. Barry’s lecture series has been presented both around the U.S. and abroad.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this program is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency.
