6/21/2021 - The Rutledge Summer Series: Travel from Home Presents: The Garden Tourist’s Hudson River Valley on July 15, 2021

On Thursday, July 15th, 2021 from 2-3:30pm on Zoom or watch it from our Kingsley Room, join us for an afternoon of travel through the beautiful gardens of the Hudson River Valley/

Travel with us to the rich mansions, presidents’ summer retreats and stunning botanical gardens of the Hudson River Valley. Visit Kykuit, Boscobel, Clermont, Stonecrop, Vanderbilt Estate, the New York Botanical Garden and more in this virtual tour.

Jana Milbocker is the principal of Enchanted Gardens, a lecturer and garden writer. She published The Garden Tourist: 120 Destination Gardens and Nurseries in the Northeast in 2018, and her second book, The Garden Tourist’s New England in 2019.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this program is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. The Rutledge Summer Series was made possible by the Charles H. and Ella Emery Rutledge Fund. Registration is required. Zoom invitation links will be sent via email on the day of the program.
