4/19/2021 - May Teen To Go Craft Kits: Felt Bird Bookmarks on May 24, 2021

The Southbury Public Library invites interested teens to take a To-Go Teen Craft Kit to make a felt bird bookmark starting Monday, May 10 while supplies last. Aimed at Grades 6-12, these free to take kits feature your choice of two migratory birds: a tree swallow and a Connecticut warbler.

To-Go Teen Craft Kits to make felt bird bookmarks will be available in the Teen Department of the Southbury Public during library open hours starting Monday, May 10 while supplies last. These kits are aimed at Grades 6-12 and feature your choice of either a tree sparrow or Connecticut warbler.

Saturday, May 8 is World Migratory Bird Day, but we’re celebrating all month long with these fun bookmarks. Each kit will have photo instructions and all supplies needed (except scissors). You can work on the kits in your own time, or you can wait and work on them together with us during our virtual Teen DIY To Go Meetup on Monday, May 24 from 4-5pm. The virtual Meetup is an optional extra for those interested; the kits have everything you need to finish them. To receive Zoom meeting credentials for the virtual meetup, register on the library’s website at http://www.southburylibrary.org/diy-may.

This is sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library, and like all Southbury Public Library teen programs is free and open to residents of any town.
