TOWN OF SOUTHBURY
DECISION OF THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

At their regular meeting on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 the Southbury Zoning Board of Appeals took the following action:

APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS: Application # 25-0313-ZC: 1021 Roxbury Road, Southbury CT 06488. The Church of Latter Day Saints (Owner). Mr. Dean Pushlar Landscape Architect (Applicant representing the owner). Seeking approval for the installation of a freestanding sign to increase visibility on an existing special exception property within a residential zone per section 7.2.1.G with regard to the location of signs. The Church facility is not changing however the addition of a sign requires site development plan review and approval. Site plan provided with this application.

DENIED: Application # 25-013-Z: 337 Kuhne Road, Southbury CT 06488 Mrs. Albert Jan Lori and Mr. Eric David (Applicants/Owners). Mr. Robert Trezza of Connecticut Solar Power is representing the owners. Applying for a Variance of Section 13 (13.6) to Zoning Regulations. Seeking approval for the construction of a solar array on lot 6 which the owner owns but is bisected by a 50% owned driveway. Site was plan provided with this application. After thorough reviewing the ZBA Commission denied the application due lack of hardship.
