Inland Wetlands Commission
At their Regular Meeting on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, the Southbury Inland Wetlands Commission took the following actions:
APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS AND PENDING FINAL RESOLUTION:
Commissioner Slywka made the motion to approve the application with conditions. Commissioner Weldon seconded the motion. All were in favor. Motion passes.
Application #: 1776: 616 Main Street South Southbury, CT 06488 – Islam Ahmad (Applicant). MBL 29B-80-4. Application seeking to demolish existing structures, remove impervious parking area, install new drainage system and hardscaping per plan, and install structure within regulated area. The proposed re-development plan includes 0.032 acres of wetlands disturbance and an additional 0.282 acres of upland area disturbance. There is a minor intrusion into the wetlands for the discharge from the basin. Site plan included.
