6/5/2021 - CT Trails Day - Hike at Kettletown State Park (Pomperaug/Crest Trails)

Hike the Pomperaug and the Crest Trails. Pass several small rock scrambles, large glacial erratic boulders, old stone walls, Mountain Laurel thickets, vernal pool, erosion control devices, charcoal hearth site, seasonal views of Lake Zoar, and evidence of the destruction caused in the park by the tornado of May 15, 2018. Not stroller friendly. Hikers should wear sturdy footwear, and bring water, and a snack. Good picnic opportunities at the end of the hike if you bring your lunch.

Trails Day is a two-day national event on the first weekend in June every year.

Pre-registration is REQUIRED. Registration opens on May 20.
