11/6/2025 - Holiday Gift Program until December 5, 2025 The Annual Holiday Gift Program kicks off its 48th year with an exciting new name change! The Southbury Needy Fund is now d/b/a Southbury Helping Hands. We coordinate presents, including new clothing, toys, books, sports equipment, arts & crafts and more for children from families utilizing Southbury's Social Services. Monetary donations are needed for us to purchase a new winter coat and boots for each child, as well as other gifts that fulfill holiday wishes. This year, two-thirds of recipients are middle-school age or older. GIFT CARDS to local shops, eateries, and even gas stations are highly appreciated items and make wonderful stocking stuffers for this age group. Our online Wish Lists at Amazon and Target have carefully selected items that meet the needs and wishes of specific children on our list. To order online, use these links: Amazon, Target - the items will be shipped directly to us. Items can also be dropped off to the Southbury Police Station located at 421 Main Street South through the first week of December. Donations can also be made through our website southburyhelpinghands.org or mailed to us at PO Box 72, Southbury, CT 06488. We appreciate your support. Together we will help make the holidays brighter for our neighbors. ### Event: Holiday Gift Drive Event Organizers/Contact: Southbury Helping Hands (formerly Southbury Needy Fund) | southburyhelpinghands.org | www.facebook.com/SouthburyHelpingHands | southburyhelpinghands@gmail.com Archives
