9/2/2021 - Collectibles and Art Online Auction Submissions The Friends of the Southbury Public Library are partnering with Clearing House Auctioneers in an on-line auction of Collectibles and Art to be held September 22nd through September 29th. All town residents are invited to submit their items for consideration for inclusion in the auction. Items will have no reserve price or minimum bid and once offered may sell for $1 and may not be withdrawn. Donors will receive 40% of the sale price with 10% going to the friends and 50% going to the auction house. Any resident who wishes to donate items to the auction must bring them to the Kingsley Room, and meet with Karen, a Clearing House Auctioneers’ representative, on Thursday, Sept 2nd 4:00 pm – 8:45pm. Karen will have sole discretion as to whether or not an item is to be included. Residents are limited in the number of items they can submit. Payment will be made approximately 1 month after September 29th. Buyers will pick up their purchases on Saturday, October 2nd from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
