9/4/2019 - Zoning Board of Appeals: Actions taken at the September 3, 2019 meeting

The Southbury Zoning Board of Appeals took the following action at the September 3, 2019 meeting:

APPROVED - Application #10781 Anthony Gaglio/owner and Jason Klein/applicant for Variances of the Zoning Regulations for property located at 215 West Gilbert Road, Zone R-80 and Zone B-4; subject to a filing fee payable to the Office of the Town Clerk for the Variances to become effective on the land records under Section 4, Schedule B so as to allow a portion of the proposed single family dwelling to be located 9.5 feet from the R-80 Zone line in lieu of the 50 foot requirement placing the single family dwelling 81.2 feet from the easterly property line; to allow 12.3% Lot Coverage by buildings and structures on the portion of the property located in the B-4 Zone in lieu of the 10% permitted; to allow a single family dwelling with a Floor Area of 26% of the portion of the property located in the B-4 Zone in lieu of the 20% permitted; to allow the edge of the proposed pergola to be located within 5 feet of the rear property line in lieu of the 25 foot requirement; and to allow the edge of the proposed pool to be located within 5.5 feet of the rear property line in lieu of the 25 foot requirement; and under Section 9.3.5 so as to allow a portion of the proposed driveway to be located 15 feet from the R-80 Zone line in lieu of the 50 foot requirement placing the driveway 50 feet from the easterly property line.

DENIED - Application #10781 Anthony Gaglio/owner and Jason Klein/applicant for Variance of the Zoning Regulations relating to Section 4, Schedule B, so as to allow the edge of the proposed pool to be located within 10.5 feet of the rear property line in lieu of the 25 foot requirement for property located at 215 West Gilbert Road, Zone R-80 and Zone B-4.

APPROVED - Application #10808 William Lenhard/applicant for Approval of Location for a General Repairer’s License as required by Sections 14.51 through 14.54 of Chapter 238, Title 14 of General Statutes, for property owned by Pat Salvucci and Angelo Salvucci, Trustee located at 550 Main Street South; subject to a filing fee payable to the Office of the Town Clerk for the Variance to become effective on the land records.

APPROVED - Application #10756 Lee Stevens, owner/applicant for a Variance of the Zoning Regulations relating to Schedule B Line 7.2 minimum setback (50 feet) from any other street line (Old Field Road), so as to permit construction of a deck addition off the rear of the dwelling 5 feet into the 50 foot setback distance for property located at 805 Old Field Road, Zone R-60; subject to a filing fee payable to the Office of the Town Clerk for the Variance to become effective on the land records.
