3/13/2018 - Hollywood’s Walk of Fame’s Musical History - POSTPONED

Dues to the weather, the lecture has been rescheduled to Wednesday, May 9. Details will be posted closer to the new event date.

With more than 2,500 stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, only 60 represent the careers and achievements of classical musicians. Included in this very select group are celebrated conductors, opera singers, violinists, classical and film score composers.

Jeffrey Engel will examine the lives and careers of a few of these personalities and play excerpts from their recordings. This 2-hour lecture will be held on one day with a short break for refreshments and conversation with other attendees.

Jeffrey Engel is a musician, Adjunct Professor at Northwestern Community College and lecturer at libraries, community and senior organizations on a variety of music-related topics.

Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. This program is sponsored by the Southbury Community Trust Fund. As seating is limited, please call the gallery to register at 203-586-1474 or visit the website at
