The Town of Southbury is pleased to announce that construction on Heritage Road Bridge will be completed on or about Friday, September 30, 2022 at which time the bridge and roadway will be reopened to vehicular traffic for public use.
About the project
The project consisted of the rehabilitation of the Bridge, which spans the Pomperaug River. The project included rehabilitating the existing superstructure including a new bituminous concrete surface and expansion joints and repairs to the concrete structure below. This repair work will extend the life of structure approximately 20+-years.
