Absentee Ballots Available for the Republican Town Committee Primary
Absentee ballots are available starting February 9, 2016, at the Southbury Town Clerk’s Office for the March 1, 2016, Republican Town Committee Primary. Only registered Republican electors of the Town of Southbury are eligible to vote in this primary.
Please remember that obtaining an absentee ballot is a two-step process; first, you must complete an application and it must be verified by this office; and second, an absentee ballot is issued. Absentee ballots must be mailed to the applicant or must be given only to the applicant in person. Ballots must be returned to this office before the close of polls, 8:00 p.m., on March 1, 2016.
Application forms can be picked up in person by anyone or can also be downloaded from the Town of Southbury website at www.southbury-ct.org/absenteeballots - click on application for Election or Primary. The application can be faxed – 203-264-9762, but the original signed application must be sent to us, at the address below, in order for the ballot to be counted. Ballots will be sent out when the faxed application is received, but again cannot be counted if we don’t have the original signed application.
