Southbury Film Commission

Movie of the Month Club

We apologize for any inconvenience, but we have been forced to change our selected film for the November 29th meeting of the Movie of the Month Club. The new film selection is "Only the Brave." Our original selection, “Lady Bird", had a release date of November 3rd. It turns out it is only in limited distribution and not available in our area until December. Again, we apologize for this last minute change of plans but hope that you understand and are still able to join us.

Please join the Southbury Film Commission for an evening of socializing and to share your thoughts on the selected monthly film, “Only the Brave", on Wednesday, November 29 at 7:00 p.m. at Arts Escape, Inc., 88 Main Street South. The event is sponsored by Arts Escape, Inc.

See the “Only the Brave” at a movie theater of your choosing and at your convenience, then join members of the SFC to share in an evening of socializing and film discussion.

A per person, $5 fee (cash or check) paid at the door to Arts Escape, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, includes a glass of wine, coffee, tea, and desert. Seating is limited. To reserve your seat, please visit www.southbury-ct.org/SFCregistration or call (203) 262-6213.

About the Film

"Only the Brave," is a true life, character driven film starring Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges and Jennifer Connolly. Through hope, determination, sacrifice and the drive to protect families and communities, the Granite Mountain Hotshots become one of the most elite firefighting teams in the country. While most people run from danger, they run toward it -- watching over lives, homes and everything people hold dear, forging a unique brotherhood that comes into focus with one fateful fire in Yarnell, AZ.
