2/14/2018 - Waterbury Interactive: Our City, Our Neighborhoods

On Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 3-4PM in the Kingsley Room of the Southbury Public Library, Shakesperience Productions, Inc. will present Waterbury Interactive: Our City, Our Neighborhoods.

Join us for an hour-long, interactive presentation telling the rich history of the Waterbury area through songs, scenes, and stories. A team of Shakesperience Resident Artists and community members will present this project, developed over the past few years as a multi-generational collaboration. Participation from audience members will be welcomed but is not required for attendance. Audience members are welcome to either participate in the show when asked, or to sit back and enjoy the performance.

If you are interested in sharing your stories of growing up in the Waterbury area or your talents, you can work with Shakesperience and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) this coming spring to share more of the Waterbury area’s history, which the Southbury Public Library will show here later in the year. More information will be available for those interested during the presentation.

This multi-generational project is funded through grants from the Connecticut Community Foundation and sponsored by Ion Bank and Saint Mary's Hospital. Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this presentation is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. Registration is required. Please call 203-262-0626 ext. 130 to register.
