8/22/2017 - Understanding the Basics of Medicare Presentation on September 16, 2017

On Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10am in the Kingsley Room of the Southbury Public Library, Margaret Foran Ackley, Licensed Health Insurance Professional, will present a brief PowerPoint presentation and discuss details of enrolling in Medicare.

This presentation is appropriate for those applying for the first time or for members considering changing their current coverage.

This program is designed to teach the basics of Medicare and help users make informed health care decisions. It will detail different parts of the program, eligibility requirements and enrollment windows. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions about coverage options and finding coverage that best meets their health and financial needs. Each attendee will receive an easy-to-use reference for understanding Medicare options and Medicare frequently used language. Margaret Foran Ackley is the principal at Ackley Insurance Agency servicing New Haven County and surrounding communities. She is a community speaker on Medicare Made Easy and specializes in the personal approach of taking the mystery out of Medicare options. Her goal is to help people enrolling in Medicare for the first time or making changes to their coverage feel more comfortable and secure in the process. She says that, "Through these seminars, I hope to make it easier for people to get the information they need to make informed decisions about their health care coverage."

Like all Southbury Public Library programming, this program is free and open to both Southbury residents and non-Southbury residents, but registration is required. To register or inquire for more information, please call 203-262-0626 ext. 130.
