8/14/2017 - Fall Book Clubs at the Library Youth Services Department

Find the one that’s right for you!

The Southbury Public Library is pleased to offer monthly book club programs for every age.

KinderClub – This booktalk for children in Kindergarten combines elements of a storytime with the structure of book club. Listen to stories and then complete a craft or activity.

Page Turners – A first book club for 1st and 2nd graders. We read beginning readers, picture books, and short chapter books. Participants have a month to read the book, and then come to the meeting to discuss. A related craft and activities follows.

Bookworms – Our book club for more adventurous readers in 2nd and 3rd grades. Participants read longer chapter books over the month, then discuss at the next meeting. Craft and activities follow.

Nutmegs & More – Our latest book club for readers in grades 4-6. We read past Intermediate Nutmeg nominees as well as a variety of other classics and new favorites. Come back each month to discuss the books.

Book clubs are on-going and meet monthly. Check our calendar for exact dates and times.

Please call the Youth Services Department at 203-262-0626 ext. 3 to register.
