In this presentation on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 6:30pm in the Kingsley Room of the Southbury Public Library, patrons will learn how they or a loved one can stay home after retirement. Sara Guillemette of First Light Home Care and Christine L. Tyrrell, RN of All About You! Home Care Services will discuss medical and non-medical home care options for aging in place.
Sara Guillemette will show patrons what they need to do to make staying home as they age a reality. She will highlight what to consider when making the choice to live at home, suggestions for maintaining quality of life and community, and preparing for changes in life, health, and environment that occur with aging. Christine L. Tyrell, RN will answer any questions that arise concerning Skilled Nursing Medical Home Care options including insurance questions with Medicare and Medicaid. Marsi Beck of On the Mend Medical Supplies will also be present to demonstrate medical supplies and equipment and answer any related questions.
