Children’s Department of the Southbury Public Library Details Plans for March
The Children’s Department of the Southbury Public Library will offer a variety of programs for children and young adults during the month of March:
Spring Storytime signup will begin on March 6th. Stop in at the Children’s Circulation Desk or call the library at (203) 262-0626 ext. 3 to register. Babies and Books for ages 6-24 months will be held on Tuesdays beginning March 21st, Toddler Time begins on Wednesday, March 22nd and Stories and Crafts for ages 4 and 5 will be held on Thursdays beginning March 23rd. Drop In Storytimes are every Monday at 10:30 and require no registration.
The Ashurst Dance Academy will offer an interactive program about Irish Dance on Saturday, March 11th at 11:30. After a presentation by the dancers, the audience will be invited to take part in a short Irish Dance class. This program is intended for ages 3 and up and registration is required.
Booktalks for the month will include the KinderClub for children going in kindergarten will be held on Monday, March 20th at 4:15 and Page Turners for grades 1 & 2 on Weds, March 15th at 4:15.
Lego to the Library for grades 1-5 will take place on Fri., March 17th at 4:15 and no registration is required.
The monthly “Movies & Munchies” will be shown on Friday, on March 10th at 6:00pm and will feature the film “Storks”.
All programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Library. Registration may be done on the phone at (203) 262-0626 ext. 3 or by stopping in the Children’s Department for all these programs.
