BOOK TALK FEATURING DR. MARIANNE BETTE
Author and Physician Dr. Marianne Bette will discuss her book, Living with a Dead Man: A Story of Love at the Southbury Public Library on Friday, February 3 at 2:00pm in the library’s Kingsley Room. Snow date will be Friday, February 10th at 2:00pm. Copies of her book will be available for sale and she will do a book signing.
Dr. Bette is a Family Physician. While she did not anticipate becoming an author, this is a story that would not let her go. It didn’t matter that she was a Physician or that her husband Thom was a death and dieting therapist when he was diagnosed with cancer. They had to deal with cancer and all that went with it. This story shares their journey as they face their most difficult challenge of their life together, and the beauty they discovered along the way in family, friends and living.
Dr. Bette is a Family Physician in Southbury, the town where she was born and raised. She went to Loyola University in Chicago and graduated from medical school at University of Southern California in Los Angeles. For 18 years she lived and worked in California before moving back to Southbury 17 years ago.
