Georgia Sheron’s August exhibit at the Southbury Public Library
The Gloria Cachion Gallery at Southbury Public Library will host an exhibit of Georgia Sheron’s "The Other Photographic Side” from Saturday, July 30 to Monday August 29, 2016. The library is located at 100 Poverty Rd., Southbury, CT, 203-262-0626.
Georgia Sheron's explores work in color, "images” tucked away in her studio and not previously exhibited. Travels to Italy, St. Croix, Monhegan Island, Maine greatly expanded Ms. Sheron's approach to fine art photography. The exhibit includes photographs of landscapes, seacscapes, flowers, antique buildings and cathedrals from these locations. The photographs are printed on canvas in larger sizes.
Georgia Sheron is a member of Professional Photographers of America and holds their certificate as a Master Photographic Craftsman. She is a five time winner of the Kodak Award of Excellence and the Fuji Masterpiece Award. She was twice recipient of the Connecticut Professional Photographers Master Photographer of the Year Award. She specialized in artistic, natural images of everyone from new born babies to couples celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. She continued doing editorial and product shots as well.
The library’s summer hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M., Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 A.M. to 9 P.M., closed Saturday and Sunday during the month of August.
