Connecticut Author Ice Cream Social
Enjoy a free ice cream cone, discover unique works of literature, support local authors and learn more about their writing and publishing experiences at the Southbury Public Library’s Connecticut Author Ice Cream Social. Copies of books will be available for sale and ice cream is free, provided by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library.
Drop in any time between 12-2pm on Saturday, September 24 to get a free ice cream cone and speak with the following memoirists, poets, children’s book authors, self-help authors and novelist scheduled to attend: Marty Herman (The Jefferson Files - mystery), Lisa Wright (Why Go On? - self-help) Meryl Hartstein (You Were Born to Shine - self-help), Jack Sheedy (Sting of the Heat Bug - memoir), Janina B. Nawarskas (A Child Lost - memoir), John Altson (Loise Altson- biography) Jonathan Gillman (My Father, Humming - poetry), Jean Sands (Gandy Dancing - poetry) Janet Barrett (They Called Her Reckless - history), Nancy Tobin (Great Sea Jamboree! - children’s) and Barbara Bosill (Harvey the RV - children’s).
