Founding Fathers

A history lecture and book presentation about the Founding Fathers will take place on Thursday, November 3rd, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in the Southbury Public Library’s Kingsley Room. Please call 203-262-0626 x 130 to register. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library.

Bestselling author Stephen Spignesi will talk about his book, 499 facts about Hip-Hop Hamilton and the Rest of America’s Founding Fathers. He will share interesting facts about the men who led the American Revolution and helped establish the United States. Learn more about these monumental figures of American history from the author who uncovered some of their more unusual legacies.

Stephen Spignesi is a New York Times bestselling author who writes about historical biography, popular culture, television, film, American and world history, and contemporary fiction. He is a university professor, novelist, poet, screenwriter, and musician. He wrote for the New York Times, the New York Daily News, the New York Post, and the New Haven Register. In addition to writing, Spignesi also lectures on a variety of popular culture and historical subjects and is a retired Practitioner in Residence at the University of New Haven. Spignesi lives in New Haven, Connecticut with his grey cat, Chloe.
