Connecticut Beer: History and Tasting
Learn about the history and flavors of local brews in this presentation and tasting by Will Siss, the “Beer Snob” on Thursday, Nov. 10th from 7-8pm in the Kingsley Room of the Southbury Public Library. He will discuss his book, Connecticut Beer, and lead a guided beer tasting. Three different types of Connecticut Beers will be sampled. This event is limited to participants 21 years old or older.

Will Siss writes the Beer Snob column in the Waterbury Republican-American. He also leads beer tasting presentations, writes humor pieces, plays in a band, and teaches. Connecticut Beer (The History Press) was published in April 2015. With a background in journalism, he worked as a reporter for two newspapers and wrote several freelance articles for magazines. Since starting his Beer Snob column, he appeared on Better Connecticut (WFSB, Channel 3) with host Scot Haney, and on radio: National Public Radio’s The Faith Middleton Show, Where We Live with John Dankosky, The Colin McEnroe Show, and WATR 1320-AM’s Tom Chute and You.
