9/8/2017 - A Plethora of Perennials for the Late Season Garden Presentation

The Southbury Garden Club will present a program called “A program called “A Plethora of Perennials for the Late Season Garden” on Friday, September 8th at 1:00 p.m. at the Southbury Public Library.

Speaker Carl Galanter from Broken Arrow Nurseries in Hamden, will explore perennial choices to keep gardens interesting and colorful right up through the first frost.

Carl began as an intern at Broken Arrow Nurseries while completing his degree program in Horticulture and Landscaping at Naugatuck Valley Community College. Carl, who now oversees the propagation and purchasing of perennials, says he enjoys searching for perennials, the more unusual, the better.

The hour long program will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interested local residents are invited to attend. Advance reservations are suggested and seating is limited. For full details, please contact Mary Ellen Zakrzewski on 203-264- 9642.
