5/15/2017 - “Cowspiracy” Film Showing

“Cowspiracy” addresses how our food choices are affecting the environment. The shocking, yet humorous documentary reveals the devastating environmental impact large-scale factory farming has on our planet, and offers a path to global sustainability for a growing population.

The film features the expertise of Dr. Richard Oppenlander, author of the groundbreaking book Food Choice and Sustainability. Oppenlander also serves as an advisor to municipalities in the U.S. and to world hunger projects that are designing programs from his model of multidimensional sustainability.

Following the film, there will be a 20-30 minute panel discussion comprised of local community members and businesses sharing their experiences and knowledge on the film’s subject matter.

Admission is free but seating is limited. To register for the event, please visit or telephone the SFC at (203) 262-6213.
