The following special children’s events will be taking place during October, November and December.
On Thursday, October 25th at 4:00, children in grades 1-4 are invited to register to make a "Spooky Halloween House with Katie Stevenson".
Our Halloween Party for ages 3-7 will take place on Wed, Oct. 31st at 4:00p.m. We will share stories, songs a simple craft and a short film. Simple refreshments will be offered and registration is required.
The Lunch Bunch indoor picnic and movie will take place on November 8th at 12:30. Bring a bag lunch and watch some gentle fairy tales. All ages welcome and no registration is required.
The Woodbury Ballet will be entertaining at the library once more with their interactive storytime “Selections from the Nutcracker Ballet.” It will be held on Friday, November 16th at 6:00 and is intended for ages 3 and up. Registration is required.
On December 4th, children in grades 2-5 are invited to join chef Nancy Stuart Ploch in decorating a homemade gingerbread ornament. Nancy will demonstrate how to construct a gingerbread house, and then they will design and decorate their own ornament. Registration is required as space is limited.
Special Holiday Storytimes will take place on Dec. 5th, Wed at 10:30 for ages 3-5 and Friday, December 7th at 10:30 for 2 year olds. We will share Christmas and Hanukkah stories, songs, crafts and simple refreshments. Registration is required.
The Children’s Department will be offering “Lego to the Library” during the winter break for grades 3 and up. On Friday, Dec. 28th at 2:00, come to the library to build a special creation. We provide the Legos and the kids will provide the fun. Registration is required.
