The Probate Court has jurisdiction over many types of legal matters.  They include:

• probating of wills and settlement of decendents' estates
• conservator of person and/or estate
• testamentary trusts
• guardianships of persons with mental retardation
• guardianships of estates of minors
• name changes
• adoptions
• child custody matters
• removal of parental rights and termination of parental rights
