Mission/General Information:
The zoning board of appeals meets on the first Tuesday of each month at Southbury Town Hall in room 205 starting at 7:30 pm unless otherwise posted.
The Zoning Board of Appeals can hear, consider and decide appeals, when it is claimed that there is an error in any order, requirement or decision of the Zoning Enforcement Official. The ZBA Board also has the power to grant variances of the Zoning Regulations when a hardship is demonstrated due to topography, irregular shape of lots and any other physical condition where the application of zoning regulations would create exceptional hardship and deprive the owner of reasonable use of the property and/or land.
