The Information Technology function provides and maintains Southbury's investment in technology to allow town employees to access, utilize and share information, assisting them in providing effective and efficient services to the residents of Southbury. A key aspect of this mission is to provide current and prospective residents and businesses with a top-notch website to obtain information and do business with their town government.
The Information Technology Coordinator, a part-time member of the First Selectman's staff works with the Information Technology Committee, key staff and department heads, vendors and outside consultants to develop and execute an Information Technology strategic plan in order to ensure a meaningful, reliable and secure technology infrastructure.
