Southbury - Summer Camps

Summer Camp 2011:

Welcome to our SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM! We offer a comprehensive camp program for children entering Kindergarten this fall to ages 14. We are busy planning for the 2011 Camp Season and excited about many changes we think you and your camper will enjoy. We have many new ideas, activities, special events and trips planned for the summer. Sign up and get ready for some fun! Dont forget to take advantage of our early bird registration and save.

Our camps provide a friendly and non-competitive atmosphere. Campers are encouraged to play, grow and learn. We offer a great variety of activities to suit each camper and schedules to suit parents. New this summer, we will be having camp 5 days a week for grades K-5. K-2 camp will be held at Long Meadow Elementary School and 3-5 camp will be held at Pomperaug High School. The camp for these 2 groups will run from 9:00am - 2:00pm. We still will be offering "Early Riser" from 7:30am - 9:00am and our "After Camp" program will be from 2:00pm - 5:00pm.

We also will be offering a new travel camp called "Teenscape" for grades 6 through ages 14, which will run Monday - Thursday. Teenscape is a traveling camp, in which a planned trip is scheduled for everyday. Camp will start at 9:00am, but depending on the daily trip, each camp day end time will vary. Parents will be notified of the trip schedule at first day of camp.  

Registration for all camps begins on April 11. There is an early bird registration for everyone who registers by May 1. Regular registration for all camsp will be from May 1 - June 1. A seperate registration form must be filled out for each camper. After June 1 there is a late fee and we can only accept registrations if there are openings in your child's age group. When registering your child be sure to use the grade they will be entering in Fall of 2011.

We are offering a parent orientation where you can meet some of our key staff, hear about the new and exciting camp format and ask any questions you may have. The dates of orientation are:

Tuesday, June 14th- 7:00pm- Little Acorn Camp and Mighty Oaks Camp
Thursday, June 16th- 7:00pm - Teenscape Travel Camp

Teenscape- Grades 6- Age 14: Teenscape is a 3 week traveling camp that will be offered in two seperate sessions.
