VETERANS' TAX EXEMPTION PROGRAMS IN SOUTHBURY
There are three tax property tax exemption programs in Southbury for veterans and their surviving spouses. Qualified veterans may receive benefits from all three programs. Two programs are mandated by the State and are not subject to local modification. The third is a local option which allows the town to adjust the qualifying income and the level of tax exemption within State-set limits.
