Redeeming your Dog
An appointment is necessary before you can redeem your dog. You can make the appointment by calling the office at (203) 262-0613 during regular business hours.*
- Be sure to have proof of License and Rabies vaccination when you arrive.
- You will be charged a fifteen ($15.00) dollar redemption fee which can be in the form of exact cash or by check made payable to "Town Clerk of Southbury."**
*Please be aware that it is not considered an emergency to redeem your dog. Southbury Animal Control will not come out after hours for a redemption.

Any dog impounded by Southbury Animal Control will be posted on the Facebook page and advertised in the lost and found section under pets in the Republican-American newspaper as well as on our web page. Seven (7) days from the advertised date, the dog will be available for adoption in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes.
